As part of its mandate to promote orderly market development, the Securities and Exchange Commission is undertaking a series of Town Hall Meetings with the objective of raising awareness of the benefits and opportunities found in the capital markets. To promote the growth of capital markets, it is envisaged that the issuing and investing publics need to be empowered with knowledge and understanding for them to be confident in taking up opportunities in the market.
Under the prevailing circumstances of the COVID 19 world pandemic and Ministry of Health Guidelines, the Commission will deliver these as virtual meetings/webinars designed to be interactive through presentations and discussion sessions on matters relating to participation in capital markets as Issuers of securities, as Investors and as Policy Makers. The meetings will be open to the public by going live on Facebook hence being dubbed as Virtual Town Hall Business Meetings.
As critical stakeholders providing intermediary services in the capital markets, we invite you to join us during these meetings. We envisage that you will be on hand to provide valuable input into the discussions. The meetings are held monthly as scheduled in the table below: –
