You are cordially invited to a breakfast event hosted by the British Chamber of Commerce in Zambia and by the British High Commission (BHC) in Lusaka, focusing on the UK/Zambia trading relationship, and how we can realise Zambia’s trading potential more broadly.
Discussion will be led by representatives from the British High Commission and the UK’s Department for International Development (DFID), as well as Mafipe Chungu from KPMG giving reflections on behalf of the Zambian private sector. We hope to welcome representatives from the Ministry of Commerce, Trade, and Industry, other government agencies and from economic research organisations and other trade-related bodies.
To begin, the British High Commission will provide an update on EU Exit, and outline the steps the UK Government has taken to avoid any impacts on Zambian businesses in their trading relations with the UK.
We’ll then move to discussion on how we can ensure we realise Zambia’s trading potential – not just with the UK, but across the region and globally – and the steps the UK is taking here to support Zambia to meet that potential.
We will warmly welcome input from across the Zambian private sector. There will be ample time for questions and discussion.
The event will be at The Other Side, Latitude 15 Hotel, on Wednesday 30 October at 07:30am, ending around 09:30am or soon after.
Entry is free for members and snack and beverages will be provided.
If you wish to attend, please let us know by c.o.b 28 October, to info@britishchamberzambia.org
